Advisory and Consulting
Selective scientific, clinical, and strategic engagements for longevity clinics, biotech and health-tech companies, and health-sector organizations.
Engagements are accepted selectively, on a cash compensation basis, for organizations seeking evidence-based scientific and strategic counsel from Dr. David Barzilai, MD, PhD.
Working with Organizations
Barzilai Longevity Consulting partners with organizations at the intersection of medicine, science, and strategy. The work helps leaders evaluate scientific soundness, align products and claims with the strength of the evidence, shape business strategy, and communicate their initiatives with credibility and clarity. The thread connecting every engagement is the same: making sure decisions are driven by real evidence rather than noise.
Representative work includes building and auditing clinical protocols, reviewing the scientific and clinical rationale for new interventions, assessing patient selection and clinical utility, comparing a therapy or product against adjacent offerings, and shaping how it is introduced to clinical, physician, consumer, or broader public audiences in a way that remains scientifically grounded and credible. Engagements are usually scoped around substantive deliverables, which may include a written review of the underlying science, an assessment of clinical utility and patient selection, a competitive and positioning analysis, and specific recommendations for implementation within health, wellness, longevity, or executive medicine settings.

Engagement Model

Engagements are structured in three forms, each retained on a cash compensation basis. Substantial minimum thresholds apply to all engagement types. Specific terms, fee schedules, and engagement letters are shared during the inquiry exchange.
Strategic and Scientific Advisory Board
Annual retainer covering attendance at scheduled board sessions, typically structured as quarterly meetings with reasonable pre-meeting review. Suited to organizations seeking physician judgment and scientific perspective contributed during board sessions. Independent of any requirement to promote or endorse the company or its products. No ongoing work between meetings.
Consulting Retainer
Monthly retainer with a six-month minimum, structured around a defined hours allocation. Suited to organizations that need ongoing scientific, clinical, or strategic input on execution, market positioning, protocol review, or operational questions.
Institutional Build-out
Extended monthly engagement at greater hours allocation, six-month minimum and twelve-month term often most effective. Suited to deeper engagements where Dr. Barzilai is embedded in an organization's clinical, scientific, or strategic build-out over a sustained period.
How Engagements Begin
Inquiries on this page do not route to the individual longevity consulting Discovery Call, which is reserved for personal retainer clients. Initial outreach happens through the inquiry form below, and the early exchange is conducted in writing.

Engagement Policy
All engagements are retained on a cash compensation basis. Equity-only arrangements, endorsement or promotional requirements, affiliate or distributor structures, and pay-to-participate models are not accepted. Any engagement must be fully independent of any requirement to promote or publicly endorse a brand. Where Dr. Barzilai serves on a publicly visible advisory board, organizations may use his name and photo in that capacity. His name and image are not made available for product or service endorsements. Full transparency, fiduciary alignment, and objectivity are maintained across all advisory relationships.
Process
You complete the form below. Dr. Barzilai reviews each inquiry personally and responds by email, typically with a question or two to clarify scope and context. Where the exchange identifies a specific area of alignment, a call is scheduled to discuss further. A call is not the default next step.
