Dr. Wei-Wu He is Chairman and CEO of Human Longevity, Inc. In this role, he is dedicated to helping billions of people use precision medicine technologies — including genomics, AI, advanced diagnostics, imaging, and multi-omics — to improve health span and prevent disease before it becomes irreversible.
Dr. He has been passionate about longevity science for more than 50 years. He combines deep scientific research experience with over 30 years of building, funding, and scaling life science companies. Prior to HLI, he served as CEO of OriGene Technologies, Inc., which was acquired by a public company. He is also the founder and General Partner of Emerging Technology Partners, LLC, a life sciences venture fund established in 2000. Throughout his career, Dr. He has been involved in founding or funding nearly 100 biotechnology and healthcare companies.
Earlier in his career, Dr. He was among the first scientists at Human Genome Sciences, the world’s first industrial-scale DNA sequencing company founded by genomic pioneer Dr. J. Craig Venter. He also conducted research at Massachusetts General Hospital and Mayo Clinic. He is the author of more than 30 scientific publications and an inventor on more than 30 issued patents.
Dr. He received his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Baylor College of Medicine and his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
